Is Giftlee free?

Yes. Creating an exchange, inviting your group, drawing names, wishlists and gift tracking are all free.

Can the organizer see who drew whom?

Accepted Answer

No. Matching runs on the server and pairs are only visible to the person who drew them. Organizers manage dates, budgets and participants — not the secret.

Question 3

Do I have to share my home address?

Accepted Answer

Only if your exchange ships gifts, and even then it stays masked by default. The full address is revealed only to your assigned gifter, and every reveal is logged. You can also choose in-person handoff, organizer relay or digital gifts instead.

Can I stop certain people from drawing each other?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Organizers can add exclusion rules — couples, siblings, teammates — and the draw respects every one of them. Nobody can ever draw themselves.

What if someone joins after names are drawn?

Accepted Answer

The organizer can add them and redraw, which reassigns everyone and notifies the group. Existing gift progress is reset so nothing gets confusing.

How do participants ask questions without giving themselves away?

Accepted Answer

Every match has an anonymous message thread. Ask about sizes, colors or allergies — your name is never attached.

Will people be reminded?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Giftlee emails the group when names are drawn, when a gift is marked purchased or delivered, when membership changes, and whenever an organizer sends a reminder. Each person can turn email off in their profile.

Question 8

How big can an exchange be?

Accepted Answer

Large groups are fine — one invite code works for everyone, and approval can be required if you want to keep it closed.
